Therapy Rooms to Rent in St Albans

Finding the right therapy room to rent in St Albans can make a real difference to your practice. I have two therapy rooms available to rent at my practice on French Row, and I would be glad to hear from practitioners who are looking for a welcoming place to see their clients.

Who the rooms suit

The rooms may suit a range of practitioners, including:

  • Counsellors
  • Psychotherapists
  • Hypnotherapists
  • Coaches
  • Other practitioners who work with people in a calm, private setting

Whether you are starting out or looking for an additional space, you are welcome to get in touch.

The larger room

The larger of the two rooms is spacious, with characterful exposed timber beams and two sets of windows. It is furnished with cream leather sofas and armchairs arranged around a coffee table, a reclining chair with a footstool, and shelves full of books. There is plenty of floor space, so it feels open and unhurried.

The smaller room

The smaller room is a cosy, private space in the eaves, again with exposed beams. It has a leather recliner with a footstool, armchairs, a round rug, a bookcase and a desk beneath the window. It lends itself well to one-to-one work.

Why the room matters

When clients come to see a therapist, they are often feeling nervous. The room itself plays a part in helping them to settle. A space that feels warm and private, with comfortable seating, can quietly communicate that this is a safe place to talk.

It matters for practitioners, too. Working from a room you feel good in can help you to feel more settled and professional, and it gives your clients a consistent place to come to. For those who are working from home at the moment, a dedicated room can also help you to keep a clearer boundary between your work and your home life.

What to think about when renting a therapy room

If you are comparing rooms, these questions may help:

  • Privacy: does the room feel confidential, and are clients comfortable arriving there?
  • Atmosphere: does it suit the kind of work you do and the clients you see?
  • Availability: does it fit the days and times your clients need?
  • Location: is it easy for your clients to find and get to?
  • Terms: are you clear about what is included, how booking works and the cancellation arrangements?

A visit is often the best way to answer these questions, because photographs can only tell you so much. It is worth sitting in the room and imagining a typical working day there.

Sharing a professional space

Renting a room in an established therapy practice can also be reassuring. Your clients arrive somewhere that is already set up for this kind of work, with comfortable seating and a quiet, considered feel. Many practitioners find that a regular room helps their work to feel more settled, both for themselves and for the people they see.

Location

You will find the rooms at Suite 5, 7 French Row, St Albans, AL3 5DU. French Row is one of the city’s historic streets. If you would like to see for yourself how the practice feels, please just ask.
